Twenty assumptions made to outline the value for a ton of carbon dioxide pollution.
Assumption one
Climate change is occurring.
Assumption two
Climate pollution produced by humanity is part of the reason that is causing changing climatic conditions.
Assumption three
Climate change / pollution is partly due to the wealth creating process.
Assumption four
Humanity has the will and ability to moderate climate pollution.
Assumption five
Humanity is pondering over what average global temperature they want carbon pollution to produce.
Assumption six
If a trillion tonnes of carbon dioxide pollution is emitted into the atmosphere between the years 2000 and 2050, then, there is a three in four chance of a 2 degree celsius rise in average global temperatures occurring.
Assumption seven
If 820 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide pollution is emitted into the atmosphere between the years 2000 and 2050 then there is a large chance of a 1.5 degree celcius rise in average global temperatures occurring.
